Aline Hoffart

Since settling in the Comox Valley with her husband and children in 1989, Aline has been an active player in the local art community. Along with logo design and mural painting for local businesses, she has taught a variety of workshops from lantern making to life drawing. A graduate of the Emily Carr BFA program at North Island College, Aline also works in the community as a human service worker and offers skill building art classes to the special needs community.

"I am attached to creating portraits. I find it interesting to explore aspects of ourselves and our relationships with each other and our environment. In my paintings I am hoping to connect with the identification and empathy of the viewer."
