December seems to be speeding along and soon the days will start getting longer. Families are cozied up by the fire, enjoying hot cocoa and seasonal lights.

At PEG, the final Members show of 2023 is underway, and the gallery is looking festive. Don’t forget, if you need any last minute gifts, we have a wonderful selection of member-produced cards available, along with affordable, original art. December started with our first jury convening, to select works for the first two concept shows of 2024, and for the first solo/group slot. 

Our jurists included two board members; Teresa Kachanoski and Tish Doyle-Morrow, along with three other individuals. Susan Schaefer represented the established artist category, Pelle Campbell came to us from the Comox business community with a special interest in the arts, and Samantha Bishop is a practicing artist and recent graduate of the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design.…

Pearl Ellis Gallery of Fine Arts Society is a not-for-profit organization that has been run entirely by our member volunteers since 1977.
