FROM THE BOARD

We are pleased to announce that the Pearl Ellis Gallery has a new Board Member. Tish Doyle-Morrow agreed to join us at our June 20, 2023 board meeting and we are looking forward to her coming on board to help in the promotion of the gallery.

We are still seeking one more Board Member. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the arts community at an operational level and see what it takes to run a gallery. If you are interested, please send an email to pearlellisgallery@gmail.com and we will get in touch shortly.

The past month provided Alora Griffin’s Shore Line Show which was very well attended and enjoyed by all who visited. Starting June 20 is the Members Spring Show which runs to July 8 with a reception to be held June 24, 2023 from 1 to 3. Please come out and enjoy!

We are happy to report we have had many new PEG members this year, as we approach a count of 200. We would like to invite our new members to consider volunteering as our gallery is run completely by these awesome folks. There are many positions available from hosting the front desk to coordinating activities behind the scenes.

The volunteer coordinator positions that we are currently seeking include the Workshop Coordinator, Comox Rec Centre Coordinator, Card Coordinator, and Reception Coordinator. The Pearl Ellis Gallery can not operate without volunteer support from its members so please consider these opportunities to get involved and find more information here. We are looking forward to the warm days of summer and wish you all the best!

Did you know that we have a private members Facebook group? It is called ‘PEG People’ and requires a few simple questions to join. For our members who are in this group, we would like to remind you that in order to continue the weekly posts, a steady supply of good quality images are needed. Please continue to send in posts of any of your work that you would like to share.
