Pearl Ellis Gallery Mini Painting Fundraiser

Join Pearl Ellis Gallery at Comox Summer Fest on Saturday, June 22, from 10 am to 5 pm. We will have numerous mini-paintings available for purchase by donation, and our talented member artists will be creating custom mini-paintings live at our booth. Request any subject—be it a tree, flower, night sky, or baseball mitt—and watch your personalized mini masterpiece come to life. While the event is free, donations are encouraged to support the gallery’s programs and initiatives.

"We are excited to share the artistic process with the community and provide a unique way to support local art," said Susan Sarada, vice president of the board at The Pearl.

While visiting, check out our current show, Emerging Voices, featuring paintings and sculptures by students from Highland Secondary and Georges P. Vanier Secondary schools.

We are excited to announce our participation in this year's Comox Summer Fest on Saturday, June 22, from 10 am to 5 pm. This vibrant event brings summer fun to downtown Comox, featuring over 40 vendors, live entertainment, special offers from local businesses, and family-friendly activities.

Pearl Ellis Gallery will set up a booth in front of the gallery, where we will offer custom mini paintings created live by our talented member artists. Visitors can request a subject—anything from a tree or flower to a night sky or a baseball mitt—and our artists will quickly bring their ideas to life. In return, visitors will be encouraged to make a donation to support our gallery.

We need your help to make this event a success! Here are a few ways you can contribute:

Volunteer to Work in the Booth:

• Roles: Quick sketching or painting in watercolour or acrylic
• Shifts: An hour or two or for the entire day.
• We will have a tent to provide shade and ensure your comfort while you work.

Pre-Painting Session:

• If you cannot volunteer on the day of the festival, join us on June 17th at the gallery from 1-5 pm.
• We will get together to pre-paint popular subjects, ensuring we have a variety of mini-paintings ready for the event.

Donate Supplies:

• We are in need of paint, brushes, mixed media supplies, and watercolor paper.
• Any contributions will be greatly appreciated and will help make our booth a success.

Booth/Gazebo Tent:

• If anyone has an event tent we could use for the event, please let us know. It will help provide shade and comfort for our volunteers.

This event promises to be a fun and rewarding day, and it is a significant fundraising opportunity for our gallery. Your participation and support are invaluable to us.
