Landscapes – Natural & Modified
Claude Dalley
Pearl Ellis Gallery Jan 10, 2017 – Jan 28, 2017
“LANDSCAPES - NATURAL AND MODIFIED" is the title of the first “one man show” by local photographer Claude Dalley.
A popular figure quickly recognized by the ostrich plume in his hat, Claude has become well known in the Comox Valley. Following his retirement in 1997 Claude took up photography as a hobby but quickly earned recognition as a professional within the arts community. His move to the Comox Valley in 2006 provides him with endless photo opportunities.
Claude’s photographs have appeared on Global TV and have been published in the Comox Valley Tourist Guide, in local Save the Estuary Calenders. Photographer’s Forum Magazine has presented to him their Award of Excellence. The Landscape Photography Magazine has published one of his photographs in the ‘photo of the month’ category in the December 2016 issue.
Claude is an active member with the Comox Valley Community Arts Council, the Comox Valley Art Gallery, Campbell River Community Arts Council, the Campbell River Art Gallery, the Pearl Ellis Gallery and a long time member of the Comox Valley Photographic Society. In appreciation for his many hours of volunteering with the Arts Council at the old Muir Gallery, Claude was thrilled to be a recipient of “Citizen of the Century” by the City of Courtenay.
Claude is excited to be sharing 42 of his favorite fine art prints and looks forward to seeing you at Landscapes - Natural and Modified, January 10th thru 29th, 2017 at The Pearl Ellis Gallery. A meet and greet reception will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 1-4 p.m..
