Penny Kelly

I am a retired nurse with a life-long interest in drawing and painting. I have dabbled in oils, acrylics, watercolours, pastel, charcoal, and pen and ink. My current passion is abstract figurative painting in acrylic . The expressiveness and variety of the human figure present a wealth of artistic possibilities.

Over the years I have attended numerous art workshops, joined a weekly art group, participated in a supportive life-drawing group, and completed 2 years of the Fine arts drawing and painting courses at North Island College.

I have been a member and volunteer at the Pearl Ellis Gallery for many years and have shown my work at several local shows.
