Submission Tips For Juried Shows
To improve your chances of being accepted into Pearl Ellis Gallery's 2025 juried shows, here are some general guidelines to follow:
- Apply for shows that align with your artistic style or inspire your creativity.
- Don't assume the jurors know you or your work.
- Submit a clear and detailed description of your piece or proposed work.
- Include a short artist bio to help us get to know you.
- Submit high-quality photos of your work or similar pieces. Multiple photos are encouraged.
- Provide links to your online portfolio, website, or social media pages.
Concept Shows
Pearl Ellis Gallery will host four themed concept shows in 2025, juried to ensure cohesive and inspiring exhibits. All members are encouraged to apply. For concept shows, keep these additional tips in mind:
- Ensure your work directly relates to the theme.
- Provide a strong explanation of how your piece ties into the theme.
- Include clear photos of your piece or a sketch of your proposed work.
Open Spots (Solo/Joint/Group Shows)
In addition to concept shows, the gallery will also jury four solo, joint, or group shows. Whether you're applying individually or as part of a group, follow these additional tips:
- Have a clear theme to ensure a cohesive exhibition.
- For group shows, one member should apply on behalf of the group, submitting examples of work from all members.
- If applying for a solo show, be open to the possibility of sharing the show with another artist.
- Joint show applicants should apply individually and mention their preferred partner, though pairing is not guaranteed.
While accepted artists are responsible for selecting the final work, individual pieces will not be juried once accepted. However, the gallery reserves the right to reject work at the time of hanging if it does not match the application.
