March 2024 Newsletter

Get ready to mark your calendar for our upcoming AGM and other important dates!

Spring is here, the daffodils are blooming, and we are all emerging from our winter cocoons. We hope your hibernation has been a creative one, because at the Pearl Ellis Gallery there are lots of opportunities to show your work.

Our Spring Members Show will take place from April 30th to May 25th. This show is not juried, and we are accepting your submissions until April 9th. Here is the link - Application Form.

Our juried exhibitions remain open for submissions until April 12th. This is your chance to participate in our last group concept show of the year called “Art with Impact”. We are excited to be blown away by how you’ve stretched the boundaries of your practice to make work that will have a reverberating impact on all viewers.

We also have three juried solo/group spots open for submissions. Whether you feel you are ready to fill the gallery with your own work, or if you’re part of a group that wants to showcase its members, please click this link for more information. We have a helpful document with tips for making your submissions here.

We’ve had some interesting workshops over the last few months and still have 2 more scheduled - Upcoming Workshops. We continue to take applications from potential workshop facilitators, and have an online form for working out the details.

Also on the horizon is our Annual General Meeting. It will take place on Saturday, April 27th, starting at 1 pm in the Lion’s Den. This will be your chance to vote in the new board of directors and learn about all the initiatives that were implemented this past year.

On that note, we could still use some volunteers in some key areas: workshop coordinator and show coordinator, along with one more board position. All of these positions require basic computer skills and a team spirit. Please contact if you have any questions about volunteering.

As we move into spring, let's embrace the opportunity for growth and creativity together. Thank you for being part of our vibrant community at the Pearl Ellis Gallery!
