West Coast Symphony
V. I. Silk Painters

Pearl Ellis Gallery Aug 27, 2019 – Sep 14, 2019

The Vancouver Island Silk Painters celebrate their 20th Anniversary with a “West Coast Symphony” from August 27 to September 14 at the Pearl Ellis Gallery in Comox. This group of eclectic artists has taken the ancient fine art form of silk painting to its optimum level. Using various techniques, each painter has developed their own distinctive style using the magic of dye on silk as their choice of medium. With every new painting comes a new learning experience that challenges the artist and viewer alike. Ongoing workshops and monthly meetings keep the artists engaged with their creative goals and offer inspiration and the confidence to achieve the next level of excellence. The group represents skill levels from beginner to professional.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, August 31, 1:00-3:00 pm. Artists will be in attendance and everyone is welcome.

The Pearl Ellis Gallery is located at 1729 Comox Avenue in Comox. Open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Closed Sunday/Monday. Free admission. Everyone welcome.
