Warm weather is finally here, and at the Pearl, we are excited to spend time outdoors, whether gardening, hiking, or painting "en plein air". For the rest of the summer, we are excited to invite you to participate in a special opportunity to paint live in front of the Pearl Ellis Gallery. This public display will draw visitors to the gallery and allow you to interact and share your creative process with them. You may also sell the work you produce on-site through our Gallery Square system, though a 20% commission will be deducted. We have easels available in the gallery, including a French easel with a storage box, or you can bring your own. We also have an umbrella to shade you during these lovely sunny days. Having moved to the Comox Valley less than two years ago from a different province, I continue to be amazed at the lushness of our surroundings and the abundance and variety of flowering plants and trees.
