The Pearl Ellis Gallery opens its 5th annual Members' Photography Show, newly named the "Vicki Lapp Memorial Award" show and sale, on Tuesday, August 11th. This exhibition of photography will run to Sunday, August 30th. The Gallery will be open to the public Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, Sundays 1 – 4pm and will be closed Mondays. On the first day of the show, August 11th, there will be an evening reception held from 7 to 9 pm. and all are welcome to attend. The Pearl Ellis Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of the “Kindred Spirits” Art Show, featuring Comox artists Judi Pedder and Sheryl Fremlin. The show runs from July 21st to August 9th and the artists will be exhibiting all new work, with approximately 50 paintings being shown. The Pearl Ellis Gallery will kick off its 37th summer show season with its tenth Member’s People’s Choice show and sale. This exhibition will run from Tuesday June 23rd, to Sunday, July 19th. Project Watershed's "Art for the Estuary" Fundraiser Then, Now and Future
The Comox Valley Project Watershed Society is holding its sixth annual Keeping It Living art campaign which raises funds for the protection and restoration of the K'ómoks Estuary. This year's title "Then, Now and Future" asked artists to capture their vision of the past, present and future of the estuary. Internationally renowned local K'ómoks First Nation artist Andy Everson has created an image for this year's campaign entitled "Stillness".…

"All Over the Place" is Comox artist Ruth Rae's first solo show and a tribute to the spectacular surroundings in which we live. A west coaster from birth (she wonders why would one live anywhere else) she finds joyful inspiration in nature at every turn and captures that by studying it in daily forays into the nooks and crannies of the Comox Valley. To her, sharing that inspiration by creating visual art makes joyful sense! She hopes that by internalizing her surroundings and then allowing those impressions to be recreated she is serving her town and reflecting the values of her community.
